BEAT THE HEAT 2009 A Success!

- It took many man hours and multiple checks, but the final numbers are in for our Beat the Heat meet 2009.
- By the numbers:
- 338 athletes representing 17 teams came to Flagstaff.
- For FPAC - 129 of 173, life time best times - 75%. With 39 Swimmers entered. Average of 3.3 life time best swims per swimmer.
- 5 - New Arizona Swimming Q times. Grace Balkin - 2, Clark Penado - 2 and Jesse Baxter with 1.
- 20 - Swimmers with 100% life time best times. Olivia Bade 2, Belle Balkin 4, Claire Balkin 5, Grace Balkin 5, Jesse Baxter 1, Amy Boadway 5, Derek Bressler 4, Sean Burke 4, Hannah Doskicz 3, Ellie Hammond 6, Mark Komadina 2, Sarah Komadina 1, Ben Ledvina 5, Sam Milligan 5, Sierra Milligan 5, Evan Montes 4, Manuel Morales 2, Caleb Ring 5, Rebecca Sturn 5, Hannah Penado 4.
- 18 First place finishes, Zach Lemons 8, Kristen Hamilton 4, Meagan Morrison 3, Coach Dave 2 and Hannah Penado 1.
- 6 Second and 6 third place finishes
- 24 other top 8 finishes.

- Beat the Heat starts tomorrow, Friday June 5th. Warm-ups for Friday will begin at 1pm.
- This will be the biggest the meet has been, EVER! 338 athletes will here swimming for 17 teams.
